Porto Tasty: Downtown Porto welcomes a tasca festival

Downtown Porto welcomes a tasca festival

Porto will be having a Francesinha event once again. But this time, the renewed "Tascas na Baixa" food festival brings a lot more to the table.

"Tascas na Baixa" is a new concept created by Super Bock, the most famous beer brand from Porto. After years of francesinha festivals, the organization decided to create a more complete and diverse menu for its visitors, presenting a lot of the snacks that Porto's tascas have to offer. For 11 consecutive days, from September 28th to October 8th, D. João I square will be filled with the most traditional dishes the city can offer.

Of course you can't eat all of this without having a sip of beer. Super Bock also offers a vast variety of drinks, including the 90-years special, the 1927 Selection collection and, of course, the standard one. Besides those, in this festival, visitors may have an exclusive taste of some of their new beverages from the 1927 Selection: Summer Ale Japanese Rice Lager, Christmas Brew, British Colonial Stout and Scottish Smoked Lager.

The event will also count with the best "beer chefs". "Beer Talks" is a brand new section where renowned experts from this area will be talking about the very uses of the drink and the best ways of doing so.
