Café Santiago has a new space in Porto
Café Santiago da Praça aims to reduce waiting time and is located in Praça dos Poveiros, a few meters away from Passos Manuel.
Café Santiago has the reputation of serving one of the best francesinhas in Porto. Thanks to this the queues and waiting time were increasing. To solve this problem the owners decided to expand the restaurant to a new space.
The inauguration took place on July 25th, the day of Santiago. The name Café Santiago da Praça came from the location of the new space, Praça dos Poveiros.
The new house has almost twice the capacity of Café Santiago with around 120 seats. The decoration of the space is a tribute to the city, represented through blue and white tiles and on the walls the distance from the restaurant to some of the most emblematic places of Porto.

The menu is the same as always the only novelty is in the accompaniment, the fries, which are now served with a spicy and crispy sausage. The prices are also the same, a francesinha costs on average 9.5 euros.
