Droop: Porto’s new restaurant with good wine and snacks
Droop located in the downtown area has about 40 wines available to savor accompanied by tapas, meat and fish dishes and vegetarian suggestions.
The restaurant opened its doors in the end of July. Those responsible for the space prepare and serve the tables, the snacks in the menu are called tapiscos, the name of the hybrid between the Spanish tapa and the typical Portuguese snack.

Among the various appetizers are the camembert with apple and crunch, the little fish of the garden, peppers padrón, the bruschetta of sardines, the prawns of the house or the tables of sausages and cheeses.

To accompany the good options of the menu, in which the loaves and the cod are highlighted, there is a wine list with 40 options, all national and many by glass. You can also choose white and red wine sangria or sparkling wine and red fruits.

The wines can also be accompanied by the various meat and fish dishes that the restaurant has. For the suggestion of fish there is a salmon puff pastry with herbal butter and cod confit with corn bread, with cheese or stuffed with ham. In steaks, the wellington steak or beef steak are options for two people. There is even a choice for vegetarians like the tagliatelle with grilled vegetables.
The dessert is last, you can taste a banoffee, a deconstructed cheesecake or a chocolate meringue.
Droop has a capacity for 30 people and has a small terrace.
